Kyle Byrne, Founder

Kyle is an AUSTSWIM Licensed Teacher as well as a Diploma trained educator with 18 years+ experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 15 years, in addition to children with cognitive and physical challenges. He has many years of swim coaching experience with both children and adults, believing people learn best in a fun, positive yet challenging environment.

Kyle grew up in Sydney, spending countless hours at the beach swimming, surfing, competing in nippers as well as squad training and swim competitions.

Ella Sutton

Ella started swim teaching in 2021, gaining qualifications as a Swim Australia teacher. She has been a swimmer all her life, starting at 5 years old with the Lane Cove Swim Club, and was the swimming captain in her final year of high school. She has been with Swim Development Australia for over a year, and she has really enjoyed her stay with us.

Afser Aboo

Afser is a dedicated swim instructor with almost a year of expertise, he created a positive learning environment, focusing on proficiency and confidence in the water. His background of four years working with children in sports allows him to tailor methods to individual learners. Committed to his professional growth, he ensured his approach stays cutting-edge.

Roxanne Byrne

Roxanne is an accredited AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety and also a Teacher of Babies & Toddlers. She not only has a passion for teaching children & babies but also adults. She understands the fears that many adults harbour due to traumatic childhood experiences in the water or the simple fact that they were not exposed to water & swimming due to where they grew up.

Leah Gunna

Leah is a swim coach for over 4 years. She specializes in teaching children aged 1-10, focusing on water safety, stroke technique, and competitive swimming skills. Leah ensures student safety, evaluates performance, maintains equipment, and is certified in First Aid and CPR. Whether coaching squads or preschoolers, she focuses on celebrating their progress and boosting their confidence in the water.

Barbara Malik

Bárbara is a dedicated swimmer with over a decade of competitive experience, including participation in the Portuguese national swimming championships. With a special passion for teaching children, she imparts a fun and educational introduction to the world of swimming through intimate lessons tailored to individual growth. 

She is driven to provide warm and engaging spaces, blending her passion, technical knowledge, and commitment to fostering a love for swimming and water safety.

Piotr Grzelak

Piotr has been coaching swimming for over 20 years, nurturing beginners to professionals in mastering the water. In Australia, where swimming is paramount, he instilled confidence and safety in countless individuals aged 4 to 80, emphasizing stroke refinement and water competency. He is also a former Polish national champion and Olympic team member, his journey includes multiple European medals and representing Poland internationally.
